Fabrication Assistant

Role Overview:

Working as part of an agile team of expert technicians and liaising with a range of disciplines manufacturing support to logistics, car build and trackside to cover all aspects of the manufacture and maintenance of the on and off car electrical and electronic systems required for the Formula 1 Racing program. The wide scope of the electronic system used requires liaising and coordinating activities with all groups across the team from Gearbox to Hydraulics and Aero.

Job Summary:

• Assist in the making of IndyCar parts and components
• Supports the facilities function as needed
• Proven ability to follow directions, and execute a production process ideal
• Ability to use basic measuring equipment, and follow assembly instructions
• May review drawings and blueprints
• Basic understanding of tools necessary in a fabrication shop
• Other duties as assigned

Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Motorsport industry background ideal but not required
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be able to lift and move items that are up to 60 lbs
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Attention to detail, organized, and proven experience to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Professional yet friendly personality required to interact with all team members and visitors
