The challenge

Deliver new licensing revenue to enable McLaren Racing to provide the most exhilarating and inspiring performances in motorsports - all with the goal of winning world championships within any racing series which we compete.

Your team

You’ll be joining the Americas region of McLaren Racing’s Partnership Development Team, which is tasked with creating commercial partnerships that deliver new revenue across all of McLaren Racing including our Formula 1, IndyCar, Formula E, Extreme E, and eSports teams.

Your day-to-day

  • Initiating new business relationships and securing licensing-based partnerships utilizing the McLaren Racing brand and assets.
  • Building and maintaining a robust and accurate new business pipeline and database of key decision makers at established and emerging target brands within key sectors including but not limited to apparel, consumer packaged goods, consumer electronics, and sporting goods.
  • Executing stated marketing strategies and selling licensing-based partnerships throughout the Americas and internationally
  • Managing and coordinating new business sales related activities including campaign planning and execution, event attendance, partnership ideation and preparation of sales materials and pitches.
  • Liaise closely with Licensing team to manage sales cycle end to end with internal buy-in

Job requirements

Your story

To join our race for performance, you’ll need:

  • Strong understanding of licensing and marketing partnerships, with a minimum of 3-6 years of proven sales experience.
  • Knowledge and experience building consumer products partnerships as it relates to royalty construction, forecasts, channel strategy and minimum guarantees.
  • Demonstrated business acumen with a proven track record of delivering above and beyond annual revenue targets.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset including the ability to operate remotely outside of a traditional office environment (position can be based anywhere in US).
  • A rounded knowledge of sales enablement tools and software including Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Cisco/WebEx, RocketReach, etc.
  • Creative, flexible problem-solving approach with proficiency within the following:
  • Oral and written communication
  • Proposal ideation and creation
  • Contract negotiation
  • Ability to collaborate, influence and cultivate internal and external relationships regardless of title.
