Purpose of the Role:

The primary purpose of this role is to take responsibility for the Overheads business unit forecasting and actuals tracking. This will require to business partner with People, IT, Sustainability and Finance teams as well McLaren Group. Additionally, this role will cover consolidated month end reporting and supporting with budget and forecast consolidation.


Role Dimensions:

This is a full-time role that sits within our Financial Planning & Analysis team.

This role requires flexibility to working hours, working in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment and being comfortable dealing with high volume of workload.


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Business Partner with the following teams: People, IT, Sustainability, Finance and McLaren Group and prepare forecast/budgets for these areas.
  • Provide departmental budgetary control processes and reporting and make recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Take full ownership of Racing overheads and Group management charges and ensure all costs are relevant and justified from both cost cap and non-cost cap point of view.
  • Monthly results analysis and variance commentary against KPIs.
  • Responsibility for preparation and delivery of financial and activity-based reporting to the board.
  • Assisting the wider Finance Team in the preparation of CAPEX budget and forecast.
  • Assisting SFM in consolidating and submitting forecasts/budgets/long range plans to Group and Racing Board.
  • To contribute to finance team meetings and support the work of other team members as necessary.

Job requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
  • Excellent Excel & IT skills, Power BI desirable.
  • Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise to work effectively to deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Preferable industry experience.
  • Line manage and develop 1 direct report.
