Senior Systems Implementation Specialist - 12 month FTC

Purpose of the Role:

To Support the Director, Financial Control & Analysis in delivering the new systems implementation; primarily workday.


The successful candidate will have to work with key stakeholders, leading on the deployment of Workday functionality whilst also solving business problems. The successful candidate will also work closely with consultants to ensure the smooth delivery of projects / enhancements.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Act as technical lead and subject matter expert, working with key stakeholders to deliver projects and enhancements
  • Forward-looking mindset, keeping up to date with system developments to consult with key stakeholders to lead on technology transformation
  • Simplify existing processes within the subject matter area
  • Responsible for facilitating Project and end user adoption of the Service within Customer’s user community, including communication and training
  • Establish criteria for testing cycles and develop the test strategy and resource plan during the Architect & Configure Stage of the Project,
  • Responsible for scoping functional and technical areas in the Project,
  • Gather requirements and drive functional and technical decisions, escalating to senior management to obtain decisions,
  • Responsible for developing test strategy, preparation, managing execution, and reporting, working with the Workday Lead in configuring the system,
  • Review, challenge and recommend changes to existing processes in order to maximise the system capabilities
  • Document processes and ensure smooth handover of tasks
  • Responsible for completing all required training.

Job requirements


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Workday systems knowledge and understanding. SUN systems desirable, but not necessary.
  • Experience in system design, implementation and continuous management
  • Experience in managing numerous projects that have been delivered on time, meeting business requirements, with high customer and team satisfaction and have involved working across dispersed teams
  • Awareness of system design and change management impacts on systems, and integrated systems/landscape
  • Proactive in developing and implementing strategies that significantly mitigate risk
  • Strong negotiation skills and an ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels, as well as with 3rd parties
