About McLaren Racing
At McLaren, our mission is to set the standard for high performance in sport. Here, every team member plays a vital role. If you're driven to test your ideas on a global stage, measure your impact in milliseconds, and contribute to racing history, this is where you belong. High performance begins with you.
Purpose of the Role
Partnering with our Manager, Talent Acquisition – Commercial & Business Performance, you will identify and attract top talent who will enrich our culture and play a vital role in sustaining the championship-winning legacy of our team. Our environment thrives on collaboration and communication, encouraging continuous improvement.
Role Dimensions
This role offers extensive involvement in the full recruitment lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with hiring managers to define hiring requirements and subsequently manage the entire candidate journey, from initial application review through to offer extension and negotiation. Given the efficiency of our team, a flexible approach is essential, with an expectation to support our wider stakeholders as required.
Principal Accountabilities:
Full-Cycle Recruitment: Independently manage all aspects of recruitment, including understanding hiring needs, developing sourcing strategies, proactively engaging passive candidates, screening, managing all interview stages, providing candidate feedback, and managing offer negotiations.
Sourcing: Proactively search, identify, attract and hire top talent. This often includes attracting and engaging with qualified individuals who may not be actively seeking new opportunities.
Candidate Relationship Management: Proactively build talent pipelines to address future needs, demonstrating a forward-thinking approach to talent acquisition while maintaining and enhancing candidate experience at every opportunity.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their requirements, provide regular recruitment updates, and foster strong relationships with HR Business Partners and other key stakeholders across the organisation.
Market Research and Insights: Actively monitor market trends and provide valuable insights to inform our recruitment strategies. You will directly support our wider goals of leveraging technology to streamline processes and focusing on higher-value, strategic recruitment activities.
Employer Value Proposition: Participate in and contribute to employer branding initiatives to attract high-quality candidates and position McLaren Racing as an employer of choice.
Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives: Actively contribute to building a diverse and inclusive workforce by implementing inclusive recruitment strategies, sourcing candidates from diverse backgrounds, and ensuring a fair and equitable hiring process.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for improvement within the talent acquisition process, propose solutions, and contribute to the implementation of best practices.
Talent Mapping: Conduct proactive research to map out talent pools in key areas, identifying potential future candidates for critical roles.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Experience working as a Talent Acquisition Partner with a robust background as a generalist recruiter, adept at supporting and collaborating effectively with stakeholders across all levels.
Robust sourcing experience with the ability to identify and headhunt top talent into the business.
Ability to influence a wide variety of stakeholders with the ability to face into difficult conversations to achieve positive outcomes.
Proven track record of independently managing the entire recruitment lifecycle.
A strong understanding of and passion for recruitment.
Experience working with both passive and active candidates, utilizing the former to build talent pools and pipeline future hires.
Solid understanding of the recruitment process, including experience with Application Tracking Systems.
Attention to detail and comfort working to agreed KPIs and SLAs.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive approach to feedback, a willingness to challenge the status quo, and an openness to learning new ways of working.
Personal Attributes:
Ability to learn quickly, step out of your comfort zone, and work autonomously.
Great communication skills coupled with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to manage your time effectively, prioritise your workload, and take responsibility for your decisions.
The ability to navigate ambiguity, bounce back from setbacks, and adjust to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
A self-starter who identifies opportunities for improvement and takes action without constant direction.
