Purpose of the Role: The Wiring Technician, reporting to the Manager, System Engineering, is responsible for build and assembly of wiring looms and sensors for race cars and test equipment.
Principal Accountabilities:
Build wiring looms for installation on race cars and test equipment
Assemble sensors and other components for instrumentation
Create and update documentation of electrical assemblies
Primarily shop-based, but may include limited travel to some races and test events
Job requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
High school diploma
Ability to interpret technical drawings
Knowledge of wiring loom detail and assembly methods
Experience building high performance connectors, including Deutsch Autosport, Souriau, Lemo, and/or Mil-Spec
Understanding of circuit board and soldering best practices
Attention to detail working with small assemblies
Prior motorsport, military, or aviation technical role preferred
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a technology related field is preferred but not required
Knowledge of Microsoft Visio
