Purpose of the Role:  

 As Assistant within Team Apparel, you will play a key role in delivering apparel solutions across multiple McLaren teams and events. 

 

Role Dimensions:  

Your primary focus will be coordinating apparel for Shareholders, Brand Experience events both internal & external, Mercedes High Performance Powertrains, TPC (Testing Previous Car) Heritage and Base Kit for production floor & office staff. 

This is a highly operational role, requiring exceptional organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage large volumes of product across multiple apparel lines. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure all apparel is delivered accurately, on time, and to McLaren’s exacting standards. 

 

Principal Accountabilities:  

  • Coordinate apparel requirements and fulfilment for internal / External teams and departments.

  • Manage goods‑in processing, including unloading deliveries and storing large volumes of stock on‑site and off‑site.

  • Maintain accurate size records and stock data using Office 365 tools, Cheqroom, ability to use Excel, Smartsheet software proficiently is a distinct advantage.

  • Generate, track, and manage purchase orders.

  • Act as a central point of contact for daily internal and external clothing requests.

  • Support the seamless delivery of event, travel, and base kit apparel collections when required.

Job requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:  

  • Experience of handling high value products.

  • Previous experience in a clothing environment an advantage.

  • High level of attention to detail.

  • Proven communication & organisational skills with the ability to run concurrent workstreams and able to define priorities.

McLaren Racing is based at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) near Woking. Here at McLaren, we offer hybrid working with 3 days a week based in the MTC.
