Purpose of the Role:

  • A supporting role within our internal logistics department, ensuring accurate, safe and efficient receipt and dispatch of incoming and outgoing deliveries to and from McLaren Racing. The goods receiving coordinator acts as the first point of contact for incoming and outgoing goods and collaborates with other stakeholders to uphold operational efficiency.

This is a 5 month contract, available to start immediately.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Accountable for the goods receipt of all items into MRL and distribution to relevant areas/stakeholders in a timely manner, minimising any delays, whilst ensuring correct supporting paperwork and labels are present.

  • Accepting deliveries from suppliers and transport.

  • Inspecting goods to ensure they are in an un-damaged condition and match the requirements of the purchase order, delivery note and invoice, rejecting damaged or incorrect items and communicating discrepancies to relevant stakeholders.

  • Verifying, signing and archiving delivery notes and any other relevant documentation to maintain traceability.

  • Arranging and facilitating dispatch of goods out with internal transport and external couriers, communicating relevant information and tracking with relevant stakeholders.

  • Assisting with inventory audits as and where required.

  • Assisting with distribution of parts and consumables from stores, as and when required.

  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, ensuring and reporting any unsafe conditions or incidents

Job requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of goods-receiving in a warehouse or production environment.

  • Experience in logistics operations and understanding of supply chain.

  • Experience of working in a high-speed and high-pressured environment, working to aggressive deadlines and targets.

  • Ability to communicate to all levels of stakeholders.

  • Exemplary attention to detail is a must.

McLaren Racing is based at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) near Woking.
