Job description
We have an opportunity for an intelligent, highly motivated and proactive individual to join our Administration team, for a period of 12 months, that will see you contribute to several varied and exciting critical strategic pillars of the business.
This role is the perfect fit for individuals who have a passion for Formula One racing and a breadth of experience across different functional areas of business. It is a uniquely positioned role where you will gain experience across several different business areas, with a specific focus on supporting strategic projects in the Charities and Driver Development Programs, amongst others. You need to be able to use your own initiative, work proactively and, often, to strict deadlines in a high-pressure environment – in what is a demanding but extremely rewarding role.
Whilst projects may vary during your time with McLaren, your internship will focus on the following areas of the business:
Charitable Giving – which includes:
Charitable Asset Management – System Development and Implementation.
Charitable event Logistics and Support.
Charitable Strategy Administration.
Racing:
Driver Development Program Administrative Support.
Majority Shareholder Guest Relations Administrative Support.
Responsibilities

Deliver projects in your chosen project area that will directly impact on-track performance.
Responsibility for specific projects, with guidance and support from team members.
Job requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
The following attributes are required for this role:
General Project Management skills and software knowledge appropriate to the placement area. e.g. a prior knowledge of Salesforce for Asset Tracking.
An Experience working with Charities and charitable giving causes is desirable but not essential
A practical mindedness and a passion for motorsport.
Proactivity and an aptitude for picking up skills and methods quickly.
Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
The ability to work well under pressure and with time constraints (with support provided to ensure this works well).
An intelligent, evidence-based approach to solving new and challenging problems, with strong problem-solving skills.
The ability to learn and develop skills on the job, as well as to apply existing skills to new types of problems.
Good communication and presentation skills to work effectively as part of a close-knit team, with shared responsibilities, working under challenging conditions.

McLaren Racing is based at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) near Woking. Here at McLaren, we offer hybrid working with 3 days a week based in the MTC.

The MTC is connected to Woking mainline station via regular shuttle buses, from which London Waterloo is a 30 minute train ride.
