Purpose of the Role:
A senior role within our internal logistics department, helping drive performance & delivery of production requirements, whilst playing a leading role in continuous improvement and development of department personnel and processes.
Principal Accountabilities:
Technically and operationally responsible for raw material, stock, kitting and workflow management throughout all areas of manufacturing, that internal logistics supports.
Management of kitting queues and shortages, liaising with key stakeholders such as project management and technical purchasing.
Accountable for personnel resource within internal logistics, including rostering, absence management and professional development.
Drive forward department best practices and processes to be world class in all areas.
Accountable for on time delivery of the department, ensuring internal production and sub-con kitting requirements are delivered upon.
Accountable for stock management and archiving of all internal logistics stores, ensuring physical stock matches digital stock and compliance to FIA cost-cap requirements.
Accountable for the goods receipt of all items into MRL and distribution to relevant areas/stakeholders.
Working with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure that equipment and processes are maintained and remain at the forefront of technology and efficiency.
Accountable for the delivery of effective and regular feedback, 1-2-1’s and goal-setting to support the development of department personnel in line with the wider team objectives.
Job requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of process development and continuous improvement methodologies.
Proven track record of logistics and supply.
Knowledge of F1 component types.
Experience of working in a high-speed and high-pressured manufacturing environment, working to aggressive deadlines and targets.
Experience of training, developing and mentoring others.
Ability to communicate to all levels, including senior key stakeholders.
Exemplary attention to detail is a must.
Experience of managing personnel.

McLaren Racing is based at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) near Woking.
