Purpose of the Role:

An exciting opportunity to kick start your career by joining our operations and digital systems team, assisting in the production of browser-based applications to facilitate process improvement around the organisation.


Role Dimensions:

Based at the MTC (McLaren Technology Centre) or MRC (McLaren Racing Composites), you will work closely with the rest of the Digital Transformation (DT) team and Subject Matter Experts in the wider organisation to develop a suite of browser applications used to facilitate better processes around the organisation.

This position is available as an intern, graduate or permanent position.

Job requirements

Principal Accountabilities:

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Proven ability to program in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Any experience of MRP/ERP systems, ideally Javelin will be beneficial. 
  • Able to communicate effectively with technical (I.T.) and non-technical staff. 
  • Proven ability to extract, manipulate and analyse SQL data.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Working knowledge of MS Windows platform and MS Office products (especially Excel). 
  • Any existing experience with the below will be advantageous but not essential.
  • Microsoft Power suite (PowerBI, Power Automate and PowerApps)
  • Python
  • Magic xPa

  • Must have the ability to learn, often self-taught, new coding languages.
  • Must have ability to see how and where digital tools can better facilitate and enhance business processes and work with user base to make this happen.

McLaren Racing is based at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) near Woking.
