Purpose of the Role:
To provide highly organised and proactive support for the implementation of a contract management system. You’ll play a pivotal role in reviewing contracts, organising clearly and ensuring an accurate transfer of information, and embedding best practices to optimise our system and the process. You will have your sights set on providing a seamless transition, educating on system capability, improving compliance, and streamlining our processes.
Role Dimensions:
This role will sit within the Legal function and report to the Director, Legal, and have no direct reports.
You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to understand needs and align on best practices. You’ll need to engage with IT specialists to support the system’s functionality and finance teams to ensure accuracy in contract-related obligations. Effective stakeholder management and communication will be essential in driving system adoption, efficiency, and embedding these new processes across McLaren Racing.
Principal Accountabilities:
Contract Management System Implementation
Support the deployment and configuration of our new contract management system to ensure seamless integration.
Assist with thorough contract and data migration, system testing, and process alignment to create a user-friendly and efficient platform.
Contract Review, Organisation & Compliance
Conduct structured contract reviews to verify terms, and obligations.
Organise and categorise contracts to ensure they’re understandable and are easily accessible and retrieve in the new system.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Training
Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure contract accuracy.
Assist in training employees on system use, ensuring smooth adoption and efficient contract handling.
Job requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Experience as a Paralegal, Contracts Administrator, or similar role. Skilled at reviewing a wide variety of commercial and procurement agreements, ideally in a sporting context.
Experience with contract management systems or databases (preferred).
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.
Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and training support.

McLaren Racing is based at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) near Woking. Here at McLaren, we offer hybrid working with 3 days a week based in the MTC.

The MTC is connected to Woking mainline station via regular shuttle buses, from which London Waterloo is a 30 minute train ride.
