Purpose of the Role: The Payroll & Administrative Specialist will own bi-monthly payroll processing and day to day administrative support for the finance and HR teams.

 

 

Principal Accountabilities:

 

Payroll Processing

  • Process payroll for the team, managing inputs/outputs to the payroll system for accuracy; benefit costs, 401(k), HRIS

  • Manage system integrations with payroll and other connecting platforms

  • Verify and resolve any payroll discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in every pay cycle

  • Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries and resolve any issues promptly

  • Oversee the processing and management of employee 401(k) contributions

  • Manage the Health Savings Account (HSA) processes, ensuring employee contributions are accurate

Administrative Assistance  

  • Assist HR with administrative processing of employee onboarding/terminations/master data maintenance

  • Assist finance with bookkeeping and expense reporting

  • Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and other administrative task as assigned

Job requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in payroll processing, with knowledge of Paylocity or ADP preferred

  • Associate’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred

  • Strong knowledge of payroll compliance and tax regulations

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Able to manage multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize easily
