Purpose of the role:
The purpose of this role is to lead the digital strategy, marketing campaigns and content creation for our commercial partners across McLaren’s digital channels. We’re looking for a leader who can bring the best out their team, has strong cross functional skills and extensive experience with engaging with partners/clients. You’ll need to be able to create industry leading brand campaigns for our partners through end-to-end planning, production and delivery of best-in-class content. You will use your experience to provide consultancy directly to our commercial partners and to our partnership teams, helping them to translate contractual rights into engaging content for McLaren’s global fan base.
We’re looking for someone who is both creative and highly organised, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects. This person will help the team prioritize effectively and implement clear processes and guidelines to help the team succeed.
Role dimension
This is a full-time position reporting to the Head of Digital Marketing and forming part of McLaren Racing’s broader digital team. You’ll work closely with our partnerships, content, and social media teams, and will hold line management responsibilities as a member of the Digital Leadership Team.
The role offers hybrid working, with a requirement to be onsite at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, UK at least three days per week. McLaren operates in a fast-paced, high-performance environment, and due to the nature of racing and social media, the role will involve regular weekend work, unsocial hours, and may include occasional travel.
Principal Accountabilities
Lead the marketing strategy of how we bring to life our partners’ digital rights across McLaren’s digital channels.
Ensure partner content and campaigns are integrated with McLaren Racing’s broader content plan.
Collaborate with external partners and internal partner managers acting as strategic advisor to find the best way to activate their contractual rights on McLaren Racings digital channels.
Put robust processes in place to protect the quality of output on McLaren Racing’s digital and social channels, while protecting the content team’s workload.
Collaborate with colleagues in the Digital team to ensure partners use the full digital ecosystem to activate partnerships, from owned and operated channels to social media channels.
Work with the data & insights specialist to understand partner campaign performance and what learnings can be taken into future campaigns.
Advise the Partnership Development team on digital and social media rights packages for prospect new deals and renewals.
Support the content team with the planning and delivery of productions, including in-person support on location when required.
Collaborate with our agency partners from brief development to campaign execution.

Job requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Experiences
Extensive experience in content planning, brand partnerships.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team essential.
Strong experience partner marketing, strategy, execution and evaluation
Strong understanding of social first creative and how it’s used within a marketing campaign.
Extensive experience with working with partners and high-level stakeholders.
Experience working with market leading and global brands is desirable.
Experience working within the sports industry is desirable.
Impeccable attention to detail and ability to multi-task projects, priorities, schedules, and deliverables.
Excellent written and verbal communicator. You have engaging interpersonal skills and are comfortable working with stakeholders of all levels, including partners.
Ability to creatively solve problems when problems arise.
Strong negotiation skills to manage the expectations of stakeholders during the content planning and delivery process.

McLaren Racing is based at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) near Woking. Here at McLaren, we offer hybrid working with 3 days a week based in the MTC.

The MTC is connected to Woking mainline station via regular shuttle buses, from which London Waterloo is a 30 minute train ride.
