McLaren Racing is looking for a creative and detail-driven Junior Graphic Designer to join our Digital team. This role is suited to a designer with professional experience who is passionate about sport, storytelling, and digital-first design. You will play a key role in creating visually compelling, on-brand assets for McLaren Racing’s owned digital platforms, including website, app, social media, and email communications. This will be engaging a global Formula 1 fanbase throughout the season.

 

Principle Responsibilities

  • Design high-quality digital assets for web, mobile app, social media channels, and email marketing

  • Support the creation of graphics for race weekends, campaigns, product launches, and always-on content

  • Translate brand guidelines into consistent, engaging digital design across multiple platforms

  • Work closely with content, social, marketing, and development teams to deliver cohesive campaigns

  • Adapt and version creative for different formats, channels, and international audiences

  • Assist with motion graphics or animated assets where required (e.g. simple social animations)

  • Support partner content ideation, creation and delivery

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, race-driven environment

  • Ensure all designs meet quality, accessibility, and technical requirements

  • Management of AI editorial tools

Job requirements

Knowledge, skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Experience in a graphic design role, ideally within sports, entertainment, lifestyle, or digital agencies

  • Strong portfolio showcasing digital-first design and visual storytelling

  • Excellent proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; After Effects a plus)

  • Solid understanding of design for digital platforms, including web, mobile, and social media best practices

  • Strong attention to detail, layout, typography, and colour

  • Ability to work quickly while maintaining high creative standards

  • Experience of working reactively and in live environments would be beneficial, within or outside of sport

McLaren Racing is based at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) near Woking. Here at McLaren, we offer hybrid working with 3 days a week based in the MTC.

The MTC is connected to Woking mainline station via regular shuttle buses, from which London Waterloo is a 25 minute train ride.
