Purpose of the Role

As a Senior MSK Physiotherapist, you’ll play a critical role in delivering high‑quality musculoskeletal (MSK) assessment, diagnosis, and rehabilitation to employees within the McLaren Performance Hub at the McLaren Technology Centre.

Working in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment, you’ll manage a varied and complex caseload, operate autonomously within a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the ongoing development of a proactive MSK and wellbeing service. This is an opportunity to directly support employee health, performance, and readiness in a world‑class sporting organisation.

This is a full-time outpatient role (40 hours per week) based at the McLaren Technology Centre.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver specialist MSK physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis and treatment for acute and chronic conditions

  • Manage a complex and varied caseload, providing evidence‑based rehabilitation programmes

  • Deliver both individual and group‑based rehabilitation sessions

  • Support patients throughout their full rehabilitation journey, ensuring a high‑quality, patient‑centred experience

  • Work collaboratively with GPs, Exercise Rehabilitation Instructors and performance staff

  • Refer patients appropriately within the MDT or externally where required

  • Maintain accurate, timely and high‑quality clinical records

  • Contribute to service development, including clinical pathways, audit and quality improvement initiatives

  • Support injury prevention, health promotion and employee wellbeing programmes

  • Provide informal supervision and support to junior staff and students

  • Deliver education sessions to employees and colleagues where appropriate

  • Work within clinical governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with professional and organisational standards

  • Maintain strong communication across the team and contribute positively to multidisciplinary working

Job requirements

What You’ll Bring

  • HCPC registered Physiotherapist with a degree in Physiotherapy

  • Significant post‑registration experience in MSK physiotherapy

  • Working towards or experience operating at Band 7 level (or equivalent advanced clinical practice)

  • Proven ability to manage complex clinical caseloads independently

  • Strong clinical reasoning and rehabilitation skills

  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams

  • Understanding of clinical governance, audit and service improvement

    Desirable:

  • Postgraduate qualification in MSK physiotherapy (or working towards)

  • Experience in occupational health, sport, or private practice environments

  • Experience delivering group‑based rehabilitation programmes

  • Experience contributing to service development initiatives

McLaren Racing is based at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) near Woking.
