Job description
At McLaren Racing, we’re not just here to try to take the chequered flag. We’re here to excite our fans, inspire our people and deliver for our partners. And we’re also committed to evolving our sport, our industry, and our technology, too.
Purpose of the Role:
This is a rare opportunity to join our content team, crafting impactful content that showcases our brand through Employee Value Proposition (EVP), Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) initiatives, sustainability efforts, and internal communications.
We’re looking for a content creator who is passionate about producing authentic content that resonates with both current and prospective employees, as well as internal stakeholders. You will contribute to building a compelling narrative around our workplace culture, values, and vision.
This particular role will see you supporting the planning and production of photo and video content focused on EVP, DE&I, sustainability, and internal communications. You will also collaborate closely with the Talent Acquisition, DE&I, Sustainability, and Internal Communications teams to ensure content aligns with strategic objectives.
Working at McLaren is both fast-paced and dynamic. While this role has less focus on external racing content, it requires flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving needs. We offer a supportive and inclusive environment where you’ll have the autonomy to develop your skills and contribute to meaningful projects.
Role Dimensions:
As a key part of the content arm within our Digital team, you will collaborate with a team of skilled content creators and cross-functional stakeholders.
Principal Accountabilities:
Responsible for the hands-on shooting of high-quality photography and video content that showcases McLaren’s EVP, D&I initiatives, sustainability efforts, and career opportunities within the MTC.
Create content that authentically reflects the diverse workforce, inclusive culture, and sustainable practices at McLaren.
Produce compelling visuals for internal communications, employee engagement campaigns, and talent acquisition efforts.
Develop video content aligned with strategic objectives, house style, and tone of voice, with a focus on authentic storytelling.
Edit content to a high standard for various formats across digital and internal platforms.
Work efficiently to produce high-volume content, meeting deadlines and project requirements.
Participate in content planning and brainstorming sessions to develop creative concepts for EVP, D&I, sustainability, and internal communications initiatives.
Manage shoot logistics, including equipment setup and operation, and content requests.
Responsible for the ingestion and organisation of footage into our digital asset management system (DAM).
Job requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Robust, demonstratable experience shooting photography and video to a high standard for an established brand or organisation.
Proven ability to create content that highlights diversity, inclusion, sustainability, and employee value propositions.
Proficiency in editing content with meticulous attention to detail using the Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom, and After Effects.
Graphic design for PowerPoint/Word.
Experience working to tight deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience producing both short-form and long-form content.
Demonstrated ability to ideate and deliver engaging and impactful content.
Strong communication and time management skills.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Exceptional attention to detail to ensure content quality reflects our brand values.
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills to manage multiple projects.
Solid copywriting and proofreading skills for accurate subtitles and internal articles.
