Purpose of the Role: The Wiring Technician, reporting to the Manager, System Engineering, is responsible for build and assembly of wiring looms and sensors for race cars and test equipment.  

  

Principal Accountabilities:

 

  • Build wiring looms for installation on race cars and test equipment

  • Assemble sensors and other components for instrumentation

  • Create and update documentation of electrical assemblies

  • Primarily shop-based, but may include limited travel to some races and test events

Job requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

 

  • High school diploma

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings

  • Knowledge of wiring loom detail and assembly methods

  • Experience building high performance connectors, including Deutsch Autosport, Souriau, Lemo, and/or Mil-Spec

  • Understanding of circuit board and soldering best practices

  • Attention to detail working with small assemblies

  • Prior motorsport, military, or aviation technical role preferred

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a technology related field is preferred but not required

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Visio
